An example of the /abilities command
Abilities are special effects given to Pokémon that can either help or hinder Pokémon, but are unable to be seen. Normally, Pokémon have one or two Abilities, and a Hidden Ability only obtained by special means. Akin to the official PMD games prior to Gates to Infinity, in PMU, Pokémon have all of their obtainable Abilities, including their Hidden Ability, and they are always active inside dungeons. Some Abilities can take effect outside of dungeons, like Unburden or Shed Skin.
Players can check what Abilities their active Pokémon have by using the command /abilities or /abil in-game. It is possible to disable the Abilities of your entire team with a 
Nullifying Amulet. There are also items that give a Pokémon or the team the effect of an Ability when held.
