ID Pokémon are Pokémon that appear to a player based on the secret ID number that they have. They are exclusive to said player's account, and thus, the player can only encounter that specific Pokémon.
ID Pokémon are known as parts of a set, such as Plusle and Minun. These Pokémon tend to have well-known ties to one another, such as a strong friendship or a bitter rivalry.
While ID Pokémon are the more common and more popular, there also exist ID Items. These items appear based on the player ID and spawn randomly in dungeons, much like ID Pokémon.
Currently, the only ID Items are Shoal Shell and Shoal Salt that form the infamous Shell Bell.
ID Pokémon appear in specific dungeons. The Pokémon that appear are as follows:
- Plusle/Minun - appears in Thunderstorm Forest from floors 6 through 10.
- Seviper/Zangoose - appears in Winden Forest from floors 8 through 18.
- Spritzee/Swirlix - appears in Dream Grove (Daydream) in Garden Grove (through Honey)
- Skrelp/Inkay - appears in Dream Grove (Nightmare) in Garden Grove (through Honey)
ID Items also appear in specific dungeons. They are as follows:
- Shoal Shell/Shoal Salt - appears in Southern Sea from floors 16 through 18.
The player ID also indicates whether the player belongs to the Desert Fangs or the Night Talons.
- The items Assault Vest and Safety Googles are therefore exclusive to the Desert Fangs and the Night Talons, respectively.
Determining the ID Pokémon
The player can use the /glomp command to see if their account will spawn Minun or Plusle. This command is only gives results for these two specific Pokémon, but can be used to determine whether the player will encounter Seviper or Zangoose. If the player sees Plusle, he or she will also see Seviper. If the player sees Minun, he or she will also see Zangoose.
Obtaining the Other Pokémon and Items
ID Pokémon and ID Items are determined by the player's ID code. As such, the only possible way to spawn the opposite ID Pokémon and ID Items in their respective dungeons is to take along a player whose ID is tied to them.
Spawn rates are independent and cannot be influenced by the number of players in a party.
