Dungeon Objective

Restrictions

  • The player can only bring in their Leader
  • The player can only bring in 3 items
  • There is no experience gained

Unlike Eastern and Western Seafloor Ruins the objective of this dungeon is to obtain a Wonder Egg or Piplup. Once the player has a Wonder Egg found in the final Deluxe Box they then need to re-enter the dungeon and find the Secret Chamber at floor 51+

Tips

  • Do not bring in any rare items as the rate of dying is high
    • Sea Dew and Wonder Egg cannot be lost.
  • Bring in a counter to status, namely Poison and Paralyz
  • Walrein, Seaking, Whiscash and Kingler have their one-hit KO move (Sheer Cold, Horn Drill, Fissure and Guillotine), which may cause an instant Game Over if the player is out of Revivers and is too low in level.
  • Pokémon with Water Absorb will do well in the dungeon.

Trivia

  • This is the only Seafloor dungeon where Kyogre, Phione and Manaphy do not appear as storyline characters
  • The counterpart dungeon; Inferno Volcano is much less complex than Seafloor Ruins
    • Inferno Volcano also features a less intricate plot.
    • Both dungeons have 60 floors
    • Both dungeons have their respective weather legendary as the final boss
  • This is the only Seafloor dungeon that has no secret room on floor 40
    • There are no Seafloor Keys
    • There are no switches
  • Floor 58 has ruins that contain a Deluxe Box
